Highback Carved Armchair. A wonderfully couture and unique highly stylised Neoclassical griffon armchair of grand proportions. Worked in solid wood with detailed hand carved decorative motives. The sculptural arms in the shape of highly decorative, prominent and bold hand carved griffons (known in classical times to be majestic and powerful creatures, normally known for guarding treasures and valued priceless possessions). Reeded legs terminating on crisp and vigorous lion's paws. This piece is also available in all the wood finishes from the collection to also include metal leaf finishes. On request. Illustrated below upholstered with black pony skin (not included on price below).
